The HP Photosmart D7260 driver compatible Windows operating system includes Windows XP Home Edition and XP Professional. It is also compatible with Windows Vista. The minimum processor is an Intel Pentium II (or equivalent) or higher with 64 MB of RAM. The manufacturer, however, recommends that there should be up to 128 MB of RAM available for a hitch-free run. Connectivity
The standard connectivity option is through the Hi-speed USB 2.0 ports. This printer has two of such; one at the front and the other in the rear. This Universal Serial Bus ports supported connection to a computer, a notebook computer and selected HP cameras with Direct Printing. The printer also has Bluetooth wireless printing option using the Bluetooth adapter. The device supports PictBridge camera compatible through the printer’s USB port. The printer has a duty cycle of 3000 pages monthly. The recommended capacity is below this, as this will keep the printer in better shape to yield at optimum quality.
Print Specifications
The maximum print speed is up to 32 pages per minute (ppm) for black printouts. However, the rate is up to 31 ppm for colored. These speeds depend on the complexity of the document and the model of the printer in use. Also, note that the rates are after the first page is already out. The printer works on a photo and produces after 14 seconds for each of a 4 x 6 inches photo print after the first page.
The print resolutions stand at 1200 x 1200 dpi for black and up to 4800 x 1200 optimized dpi for color. This color resolution is subject to a 1200 x 1200 input dpi.

Note: Do not connect the USB cable until requested by the installer. If you connect to the network, make sure the network cable is connected before running the installer
Windows
- Close all software programs running on your computer.
- Turn on the printer.
- Click the Download button on this page.
- Click the downloaded file. The files will be extracted and the installation process will automatically begin.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to continue and complete the installation.
Mac
- Download the file. For the location where the file is saved, check the computer settings.
- Double-click the downloaded file and mount it on the Disk Image.

- Double-click the packaged file in the folder. Installation starts automatically.
To install later, select Save in step 4 and choose a location on your hard disk. When ready to install, search and double-click the file. This will automatically extract and start the installation process. Follow the instructions on the screen to continue the installation.
