1. The printer has a multipurpose tray that helps to hold up to 125 sheets of plain paper. Other print media types are envelopes, transparent films, hagaki, photo paper, index cards and labels. Additionally, there is an optional second tray that holds up to 250 sheets for standard sizes.

2. This model uses standard color cartridges including cyan, yellow and magenta each of which can print up to 2000 pages at 5% coverage. Also, the black ink cartridge that can print up to 5000 pages at the same 5% coverage.

3. Connectivity options include a parallel and universal serial bus (USB) ports. It also accepts an optional HP Jet Direct external print server for connecting network.

4. The inbuilt random-access memory of this device is a 64 MB size, but it is quite expandable to 192 MB by adding a 128 MB DIMM.

5. This device has an exceptional print quality with the aid of the ImageREt 2400 software that provides 2400 dpi and laser quality through a characteristic multilevel printing process. The standard resolution, however, lies at 600 x 600 dots per inch (dpi). This feature is adjustable to suit the desires of the user.

Note: Do not connect the USB cable until requested by the installer. If you connect to the network, make sure the network cable is connected before running the installer

Windows

• Close all software programs running on your computer.
• Turn on the printer.
• Click the Download button on this page.
• Click the downloaded file. The files will be extracted and the installation process will automatically begin.
• Follow the instructions on the screen to continue and complete the installation.

Mac

• Download the file. For the location where the file is saved, check the computer settings.
• Double-click the downloaded file and mount it on the Disk Image.
• Then Double-click the mounted Disk Image.
• Double-click the packaged file in the folder. Installation starts automatically.

To install later, select Save in step 4 and choose a location on your hard disk. When ready to install, search and double-click the file. This will automatically extract and start the installation process. Follow the instructions on the screen to continue the installation.
