This unique device has a printer driver that is otherwise known as the PJ3Plus and together with three other models belong to the ultra-mobile thermal printers. This set of printers have two basic power options such as the AC power outlet and the rechargeable battery. The printer battery is a NI-MH battery with a connection to the Pocketjet port through users can charge the battery. The third unlikely power option is a connection to a DC power through a cigarette car adapter or a direct wired cabled to a vehicle 12 Volts DC supply. This option requires a power cord too that will enter the PocketJet and users will now turn on the vehicle power.
There are also certain main switches on the printer that makes it very user-friendly to operate after pushing just once. One such button is the power switch that can turn the device on or off. To turn the machine on when it is off, the user presses the main switch button just once but to turn it off, user press it twice quickly. The printer despite its portable size has a manual form feed which is also usable through the main switch held for 1 or 1.5 seconds.
There are three indicator lights on this printer, the power, data and error lights, each of which has what it symbolizes, whether at steady or blinking or when the color changes. This printer is also compatible with the Windows OS Vista, XP and 2000 professional. The supported media types include the cut sheet paper, the non-perforated roll paper and the perforated roll paper. [Installation Instructions] How to Download / Installation procedure
Note: Do not connect the USB cable until requested by the installer. If you connect to the network, make sure the network cable is connected before running the installer
Windows
- Close all software programs running on your computer.
- Turn on the printer.
- Click the Download button on this page.
- Click the downloaded file. The files will be extracted and the installation process will automatically begin.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to continue and complete the installation.
Mac
- Download the file. For the location where the file is saved, check the computer settings.
- Double-click the downloaded file and mount it on the Disk Image.
- Then Double-click the mounted Disk Image.
- Double-click the packaged file in the folder. Installation starts automatically.
To install later, select Save in step 4 and choose a location on your hard disk. When ready to install, search and double-click the file. This will automatically extract and start the installation process. Follow the instructions on the screen to continue the installation.
