In terms of the print quality resolution, the device can produce 600 x 600 dots per inch (dpi) under normal conditions. The compatible paper sizes include the legal: A4, A5, B5, letter, envelopes, and some custom sizes. On the flip side, the compatible paper types include plain paper, recycled paper, heavy paper, colored paper, envelopes, and others. These paper types must have an average weight of 32 lbs or 128 gsm.
The machine has the main input tray that can hold up to 250 sheets of plain paper. The capacity applies to an average paperweight of 17 lbs or 64 gsm. In addition to the main paper tray of the printer, it has a multipurpose tray that can accommodate about 10 sheets of plain paper. This supply is to augment the main paper supply for high productivity. However, the paper delivery channel through the output paper tray can only hold 50 sheets at a time.
The connectivity option to this machine is a standard USB 2.0 print interface. Whereas, the device is compatible with the Canon Advanced Raster Printing System (CARPS). In addition to the leading print software, the dimensions of the valid printing area vary. For instance, the top margin allows 5 mm, while the bottom margin allows 6 mm. Windows
- Close all software programs running on your computer.
- Turn on the printer.
- Click the Download button on this page.
- Click the downloaded file. The files will be extracted and the installation process will automatically begin.

Mac
- Download the file. For the location where the file is saved, check the computer settings.
- Double-click the downloaded file and mount it on the Disk Image.
