Specifications
The print resolution of the device is up to 9600 x 2400 dots per inch (dpi) at maximum capacity. The machine works using the thermal inkjet print technology with six single inks in the color system. Also, the minimum ink droplet size of the cartridges is about one picolitre. It uses the FINE print head cartridge type and the ChromaLife100+ ink type. The printer’s performance speed depends on document complexity and printing mode.
For instance, the photo lab quality speed for borderless printing is at 20 seconds by the standard. Monochrome printing runs at the rate of 12.5 images per minute (ipm) on the average level. Conversely, color printing has a delivery speed of 9.3 ipm on average. The cartridge configuration models include the PGI425PGBK for pigment black and the CLI-426BK/BK/M/C/Y/GY for other colors. However, each cartridge has varying capacities for print.
The supported paper types include plain papers, envelopes, photo paper pro platinum (PT-101), and photo paper plus glossy II. Others include photo paper plus semi-gloss, glossy photo paper “everyday use” matte photo paper, Fine Art papers, and high-resolution paper. The machine has a first input tray on the rear side that can hold up to 150sheets of plain paper. It also has a direct disc print tray, with a printable CD, DVD or Blu-Ray Disc. [Installation Instructions] How to Download / Installation procedure
Note: Do not connect the USB cable until requested by the installer. If you connect to the network, make sure the network cable is connected before running the installer
Windows
- Close all software programs running on your computer.
- Turn on the printer.
- Click the Download button on this page.
- Click the downloaded file. The files will be extracted and the installation process will automatically begin.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to continue and complete the installation.
Mac
- Download the file. For the location where the file is saved, check the computer settings.
- Double-click the downloaded file and mount it on the Disk Image.
- Then Double-click the mounted Disk Image.
- Double-click the packaged file in the folder. Installation starts automatically.
To install later, select Save in step 4 and choose a location on your hard disk. When ready to install, search and double-click the file. This will automatically extract and start the installation process. Follow the instructions on the screen to continue the installation.
