Specifications

The maximum print resolution from this device is up to 1200 x 1200 dots per inch (dpi). Otherwise, the print resolution on average is about 600 x 600 dpi. The machine takes about 16 seconds or less to warm up and be ready to print. Similarly, the first page output time is approximately 6 seconds. The manufacturer recommends a monthly print volume between 750 and 3000 pages in a single month.

But the maximum duty cycle from the machine reaches 50,000 pages in a whole month. Also, the print margins are about 5 mm on all four sides of the paper. Some of the machine’s advanced features include a secure print and an ability to print from a USB memory key. It supports print formats, including JPEG, TIFF, and PDF. The machine also has the near field communication (NFC) component for touch and print.

The machine can also apply mobile printing through pre-installed apps, depending on the operating systems. For instance, for iOS devices, the mobile printing features include AirPrint and Canon PRINT Business app. However, when an Android device is in use, the features include Mopria certification, Canon Print Plug-in, and the Canon PRINT Business app. The standard paper capacity for this device for input is up to 250 sheets of plain paper.

Note: Do not connect the USB cable until requested by the installer. If you connect to the network, make sure the network cable is connected before running the installer

Windows

• Close all software programs running on your computer.
• Turn on the printer.
• Click the Download button on this page.
• Click the downloaded file. The files will be extracted and the installation process will automatically begin.
• Follow the instructions on the screen to continue and complete the installation.

Mac

• Download the file. For the location where the file is saved, check the computer settings.
• Double-click the downloaded file and mount it on the Disk Image.
• Then Double-click the mounted Disk Image.
• Double-click the packaged file in the folder. Installation starts automatically.

To install later, select Save in step 4 and choose a location on your hard disk. When ready to install, search and double-click the file. This will automatically extract and start the installation process. Follow the instructions on the screen to continue the installation.
