Specifications
In terms of the machine’s speed, monochrome printing runs at a rate of 8.8 images per minute (ipm). On the flip side, when printing in color, the quality of printing is approximately 5.0 ipm. Simultaneously, the photo print speed is about 60 seconds on the average, while using plain paper. The same borderless printing works for A4, letter, and photo sizes. Also, standard ink cartridge types include the GI-490 PGBK, C, M, and Y for pigment black, cyan, magenta, and yellow, respectively.
The A4 document printing through the main cartridge can produce up to 6000 black pages or 7000 color pages. These are rough estimations under ideal conditions. Some of the standard paper sizes include plain paper, high-resolution paper, and photo paper plus glossy II. Others have photo paper pro luster, photo paper plus semi-gloss, and glossy photo-paper “everyday use.” On the other hand, it supports standard paper sizes such as legal, letter, Dl envelopes, A4, A5, and B5.
The maximum paper input capacity of this printer is up to 100 sheets of plain paper. Besides, the standard paper sizes include A4, A5, B5, and photo sizes. This machine can work with a weight range between 64 and 105 gsm in terms of the paperweight. Whereas the device also supports the Canon photo paper of up to 275 gsm in weight. [Installation Instructions] How to Download / Installation procedure
Note: Do not connect the USB cable until requested by the installer. If you connect to the network, make sure the network cable is connected before running the installer
Windows
- Close all software programs running on your computer.
- Turn on the printer.
- Click the Download button on this page.
- Click the downloaded file. The files will be extracted and the installation process will automatically begin.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to continue and complete the installation.
Mac
- Download the file. For the location where the file is saved, check the computer settings.
- Double-click the downloaded file and mount it on the Disk Image.
- Then Double-click the mounted Disk Image.
- Double-click the packaged file in the folder. Installation starts automatically.
To install later, select Save in step 4 and choose a location on your hard disk. When ready to install, search and double-click the file. This will automatically extract and start the installation process. Follow the instructions on the screen to continue the installation.
