The machine also has software and a user’s manual CD. It produces an output resolution of up to 9600 x 2400 dots per inch (dpi). The productivity level of this machine is through its inkjet FINE printhead technology. Then, it has a 5-color system with a minimum ink droplet size of 1 picolitre. Besides, it has five individual ink tanks with ChromaLife100+ to make up the finest printing components.
During printing in black and white, the machine can run at a speed of 15 images per minute (ipm). But color document print speed is about 10.0 images per minute (ipm). The rate of photo printing in the borderless mode is approximately 21 seconds. It also has an automatic duplex printing mode for both sides of the print paper. The included software supports direct disc printing as well as other similar properties.
The other print features that the printer supports include fit-to-page print, scaled print, and multiple pages per sheet print. Others are booklet print, poster print, and the ability to collate printed pages. It also supports standard ink cartridges that include five individual ink tanks. The ink tanks are PGI-450PGBK (pigment black) and CLI-451 models for yellow, cyan, magenta, and black colors. There are some optional cartridge models, too, for replacing the exhausted ink tanks at any point.

Windows
- Close all software programs running on your computer.
- Turn on the printer.
- Click the Download button on this page.
- Click the downloaded file. The files will be extracted and the installation process will automatically begin.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to continue and complete the installation.
Mac
- Download the file. For the location where the file is saved, check the computer settings.
- Double-click the downloaded file and mount it on the Disk Image.
- Then Double-click the mounted Disk Image.
- Double-click the packaged file in the folder. Installation starts automatically.
To install later, select Save in step 4 and choose a location on your hard disk. When ready to install, search and double-click the file. This will automatically extract and start the installation process. Follow the instructions on the screen to continue the installation.
