Monochrome printing with Canon PIXMA iP8740 is at the rate of 14.5 images per minute (ipm). But color printing with this machine runs at 10.4 ipm by standard measurement. Similarly, it produces photo prints in borderless mode at 36 seconds per page rate. For bordered printing, the speed is up to 120 seconds per page. It also supports two-sided printing through the manual operation with direct disc printing.
The machine has a width of 590 mm and a depth of 331 mm while measuring its physical features. The height of the printer is about 159 mm, while the weight is up to 8.5 kg. According to the power source, the input power voltage is between 100 and 240 volts with a 50/60 Hz frequency. But the power consumption depends on the printer model. For example, when the machine is at the standby mode, it only uses about 1.9 watts of energy.
However, with all connected ports at the same standby mode, the power consumption is about 2.4 watts. But it takes the machine about 2 minutes of idleness to enter into the standby mode. Note: Do not connect the USB cable until requested by the installer. If you connect to the network, make sure the network cable is connected before running the installer
Windows
- Close all software programs running on your computer.
- Turn on the printer.
- Click the Download button on this page.
