Canon PIXMA MG2540S model prints black and white documents at the rate of 8.0 images per minute (ipm). But color printing is at the speed of 4.0 ipm and does not make borderless printing. However, users can make use of manual operation for two-sided printing. The compatible paper types by standard, include plain paper, envelopes, photo paper plus glossy II and glossy “everyday use.” Similarly, the machine can accommodate up to 60 sheets of plain paper inside the rear tray.
In terms of the compatible standard sizes of print paper, users can use A4, A5, Letter, B5, legal, and envelopes sizes. Furthermore, the recommended paper weight should be between 64 and 105 gsm. Whereas, if a Canon photo paper is in use, the maximum paperweight is up to 275 gsm. During a scanning process, the machine uses the contact image sensor (CIS) flatbed document and photo scanner element. At the same time, this mode produces an optimum optical resolution of 600 x 1200 dpi.
The average speed of scanning is about 14 seconds per page, while the color depth relates to the color mode. For color, the scanning depth for input/output is 48bit/24bit, but monochrome is 16bit/8bit. At the same time, the supported maximum document size for scanning is about 216 x 297 mm. Windows
- Close all software programs running on your computer.
- Turn on the printer.
