The Canon PIXMA MG3150 model’s functions include printing, copying, scanning with Wi-Fi, auto duplex, and mobile printing features. Borderless printing work for photo lab quality for a 10×15 cm with a speed of 44 seconds. Monochrome printing has a speed of 9.2 images per minute (ipm) on average. But color printing has a rate of 5.0 ipm while it works with PG-540 and CL-541. The optional cartridges for higher yield include PG-540XL and CL-541XL. Some of the compatible paper types include plain paper, envelopes, photo paper pro platinum, and photo paper plus glossy II.

Other types are photo paper plus semi-gloss, glossy photo paper “everyday use,” matte photo paper, and high-resolution paper. On the other hand, compatible paper sizes include A4, A5, letter, legal, envelopes, and photo sizes. The media input tray of this device can hold up to 100 sheets of plain paper, the main input tray. In terms of the media weight, the machine supports within the range of 64 and 105 gsm. But when a Canon particular media is in use, the maximum weight limit is 300 gsm.

Note: Do not connect the USB cable until requested by the installer. If you connect to the network, make sure the network cable is connected before running the installer

Windows

• Close all software programs running on your computer.
• Turn on the printer.
• Click the Download button on this page.
• Click the downloaded file. The files will be extracted and the installation process will automatically begin.
• Follow the instructions on the screen to continue and complete the installation.

Mac

• Download the file. For the location where the file is saved, check the computer settings.
• Double-click the downloaded file and mount it on the Disk Image.
• Then Double-click the mounted Disk Image.
• Double-click the packaged file in the folder. Installation starts automatically.

To install later, select Save in step 4 and choose a location on your hard disk. When ready to install, search and double-click the file. This will automatically extract and start the installation process. Follow the instructions on the screen to continue the installation.
