The printer is capable of printing, copying, cloud link, scanning with a wireless connection. It produces a print resolution of up to 4800 x 1200 dots per inch (dpi) at maximum yield. It has a print technology comprising five individual ink tanks for pigment black, black, cyan, magenta, yellow colors. The inkjet FINE print head has a minimum ink droplet size of about two picolitres (pl). It is also compatible with the ChromaLife100+ inks.

Specifications
Black and white printing with the Canon PIXMA MG6650 model runs approximately 15 images per minute (ipm). Conversely, the color print speed is about 9.7 ipm for the compatible color documents. Whereas, photo print speed for borderless mode is approximately 44 seconds for A4, letter and photo sizes. It also supports duplex or double-sided printing on A4 and letter-sized plain papers. Users can be sure of the optimum quality of print at an impressive speed.
The compatible ink tanks include PGI-550PGBK for pigment black and CLI-551BK/M/C/Y for other colors. It also has optional XL ink tank models that can print fairly more than the standard types. The maximum yield of the cartridges also depends on the particular cartridge type. For instance, the black pigment cartridge will produce 300 pages, while the XL counterpart will print up to 500 pages. Similarly, the Black cartridge will create 1795 pages while the Black XL cartridge will print 5575 pages.
Furthermore, the Canon PIXMA MG6650 model is capable of using plain paper, envelopes, Canon Pro Platinum, and Canon Pro luster. Other compatible paper types include Canon Plus Semi-gloss, Canon Matte, and Canon high-resolution paper. In the main input tray, the machine can accommodate up to 100 sheets of plain paper. [Installation Instructions] How to Download / Installation procedure
Note: Do not connect the USB cable until requested by the installer. If you connect to the network, make sure the network cable is connected before running the installer
Windows
- Close all software programs running on your computer.
- Turn on the printer.
- Click the Download button on this page.
- Click the downloaded file. The files will be extracted and the installation process will automatically begin.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to continue and complete the installation.
Mac
- Download the file. For the location where the file is saved, check the computer settings.
- Double-click the downloaded file and mount it on the Disk Image.
- Then Double-click the mounted Disk Image.
- Double-click the packaged file in the folder. Installation starts automatically.
To install later, select Save in step 4 and choose a location on your hard disk. When ready to install, search and double-click the file. This will automatically extract and start the installation process. Follow the instructions on the screen to continue the installation.
