The printer’s compatibility with the Windows OS is also compatible with Mac OS X 10.4.11, 10.5.8, 10.6.x, and 10.7.x. Furthermore, the leading paper input tray can load up to 250 sheets of plain paper. Moreover, the rear multipurpose tray can hold up to 80 sheets of plain paper. In both cases, the excellent paperweight ranges between 17 and 24 lbs, about 64 to 90 gsm. In scanning, the device uses the flatbed component for color documents.
It also has a photoelectric device in the form of a contact image sensor (CIS) element. The machine’s effective pixels are about 10200 x 14040 pixels at the 1200 dots per inch (dpi) resolution. Similarly, the maximum supported document size is about 8.5 inches x 11.7 inches, while the scanner glass allows US letter and A4 paper sizes. The scanner’s resolution is about 1200 dpi for the main scan and 2400 dpi for the sub-scan.
On the other hand, the scanning mode’s output resolution ranges between 50 to 4800, 7200, and 9600 dpi. When loading paper into this machine, the printer supports a faceup loading pattern while the output flow is in a face-down manner. In faxing, this machine model supports black, white, and color pages through a household phone line and a modem speed of up to 33.6 kbps. [Installation Instructions] How to Download / Installation procedure
Note: Do not connect the USB cable until requested by the installer. If you connect to the network, make sure the network cable is connected before running the installer
Windows
- Close all software programs running on your computer.
- Turn on the printer.
- Click the Download button on this page.
- Click the downloaded file. The files will be extracted and the installation process will automatically begin.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to continue and complete the installation.
Mac
- Download the file. For the location where the file is saved, check the computer settings.
- Double-click the downloaded file and mount it on the Disk Image.
- Then Double-click the mounted Disk Image.
- Double-click the packaged file in the folder. Installation starts automatically.
To install later, select Save in step 4 and choose a location on your hard disk. When ready to install, search and double-click the file. This will automatically extract and start the installation process. Follow the instructions on the screen to continue the installation.
