Epson XP-520 printer model has up to five ink cartridges, including cyan, magenta, yellow, black, and photo black colors. It also has a drop-on-demand thermal inkjet print technology with a MicroPiezo principle. Printing with this device also means a maximum print resolution of up to 5760 x 1440 dots per inch (dpi) at an optimized level. In the ISO standard mode, black documents can run at 9.5 ppm, while color printing runs at 9.0 ISO ppm.

On the other hand, 2-sided ISO printing can run black documents at the rate of 4.6 ISO ppm. In comparison, the color documents at this mode have a print rate of 4.5 ISO ppm. Its minimum ink droplet size is about 1.5 picolitres (pl) within the five ink droplet variable sizes—the photo print speed for a borderless photo is as fast as 20 seconds at the draft mode. Similarly, the machine’s other PC-free printing features include auto photo correction, select and print photos, print your picture packages, and print passport and photo ID.
The compatible ink type is the Claria Premium Ink, which produces water, smudge, and scratch-resistant documents. It replaces with the 273 standard-capacity cartridges or the 273XL high-capacity. The former cartridge model can have up to 250 sheets of black paper and 300 sheets of color documents. On the other hand, the latter cartridge model can print up to 500 sheets of black paper and 650 sheets of colored paper.
Some other notable general features of the device include support for a temperature range between 10 and 350C during operation. However, when the machine is in storage, it allows a temperature range between -20 and 400C. Besides, the relative humidity is between 20 and 80% when in operation. Windows
- Close all software programs running on your computer.
- Turn on the printer.
- Click the Download button on this page.
- Click the downloaded file. The files will be extracted and the installation process will automatically begin.

Mac
- Download the file. For the location where the file is saved, check the computer settings.
- Double-click the downloaded file and mount it on the Disk Image.
