HP Printer Color LaserJet 2550LN Overview
The Color Laserjet 2550Ln is peculiar for its inclusion of the HP Jetdirect internet print server that it uses to connect to a 10/100Base-T network. This model is also unique in that there is an optional additional tray and third tray. However, tray two must be in place before plate three can be usable. Too, this is a four-color laserjet printer that can measure up a speed that is up to 20 ppm in black and white. The printer uses a PCL 6 printer driver with a PostScript level 3 emulation.

1. HP Printer Color Laserjet 2550Ln is a very easy-to-use device because the settings are easily accessible and it is user-friendly. HP Toolbox software is also usable for accessing information and settings.
2. The main multipurpose tray holds up to 125 sheets of plain paper of various print media types. For other sizes, up to 10 envelopes are loadable. For the additional plates, the tray two can load up to 250 sheets for standard sizes. Whereas, tray three which is also optional and dependent on tray two can take up to 500 sheets for A4 and letter sizes .
3. This printer regarding Connectivity provides parallel and universal USB ports. It also accepts an optional HP Jetdirect external print server that it uses to connect to a network.
4. A 64 MB random access memory (RAM) comes with the printer as the standard processing memory. This expandable memory can be up to 192 MB by adding another 128 MB DIMM.
5. The printer produces a very high-quality print with the use of the ImageREt 2400 that provides 2400 dpi color. This feature has a laser-class quality through a system of the multilevel printing process.
6. The printer works well to produce not only in black but can also print in cyan, yellow and magenta.

Note: Do not connect the USB cable until requested by the installer. If you connect to the network, make sure the network cable is connected before running the installer
Windows
- Close all software programs running on your computer.
- Turn on the printer.
- Click the Download button on this page.
- Click the downloaded file. The files will be extracted and the installation process will automatically begin.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to continue and complete the installation.
Mac
- Download the file. For the location where the file is saved, check the computer settings.
- Double-click the downloaded file and mount it on the Disk Image.
- Then Double-click the mounted Disk Image.
- Double-click the packaged file in the folder. Installation starts automatically.
To install later, select Save in step 4 and choose a location on your hard disk. When ready to install, search and double-click the file. This will automatically extract and start the installation process. Follow the instructions on the screen to continue the installation.
