The Hp printer has a print resolution of up to 1200 dots per inch (dpi) with pigmented black ink for printing in black. However, when printing in color, the resolution is 4800 x 1200 dpi optimized for HP Advanced photo paper with 1200 x 1200 dpi as input.
The printer also works with the drop on demand thermal inkjet print technology with HP PCL XL (PCL6) primary language. Others include native pdf, HP postscript level 3 emulation while the print speed is up to 36 pages per minute (ppm) for both black and color in draft mode. At the ISO mode, the print speed is up to 24 ppm (for black) and up to 20 ppm (for color).
The duty cycle of HP OfficeJet Pro 8745 printer is up to 30000 printed pages in a month, and it supports both automatic and manual duplex printing. This feature enables the printer to print on both sides of the page.

Note: Do not connect the USB cable until requested by the installer. If you connect to the network, make sure the network cable is connected before running the installer
Windows
- Close all software programs running on your computer.
- Turn on the printer.
- Click the Download button on this page.
- Click the downloaded file. The files will be extracted and the installation process will automatically begin.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to continue and complete the installation.
Mac
- Download the file. For the location where the file is saved, check the computer settings.
- Double-click the downloaded file and mount it on the Disk Image.
- Then Double-click the mounted Disk Image.
- Double-click the packaged file in the folder. Installation starts automatically.
To install later, select Save in step 4 and choose a location on your hard disk. When ready to install, search and double-click the file. This will automatically extract and start the installation process. Follow the instructions on the screen to continue the installation.
