The Samsung ML-2240 model is the first member of the Samsung ML-2240 printer series that use the laser beam printing method. Its rate of printing is up to 22 pages per minute (ppm) when printing on an A4 paper. On the other hand, while writing on a letter-size paper, the rate is up to 23 ppm. Furthermore, the first print out page time is less than 10 seconds from the active mode. But when the printer is waking from a cold-boot, the rate for printing the first page in less than 25 seconds.

The maximum print resolution of the machine is up to 1200 x 600 dots per inch (dpi) with productive output. It supports the Samsung Print Language (SPL) with an interface for full-speed USB 2.0 port. This machine also gives room for the use of Windows 2000, XP, 2003, Vista as well as Mac OS 10.3-10.5. When considering the paper capacities, the input tray can take up to 150 sheets of plain paper of 75 gsm weight. On the other hand, for the output capacity, this printer model can take up to 100sheets of printed paper. The output is in the face down the pattern and supports the same average weight of 20 lbs.

Note: Do not connect the USB cable until requested by the installer. If you connect to the network, make sure the network cable is connected before running the installer
Windows
- Close all software programs running on your computer.
- Turn on the printer.
- Click the Download button on this page.
- Click the downloaded file. The files will be extracted and the installation process will automatically begin.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to continue and complete the installation.
Mac
- Download the file. For the location where the file is saved, check the computer settings.
- Double-click the downloaded file and mount it on the Disk Image.
- Then Double-click the mounted Disk Image.
- Double-click the packaged file in the folder. Installation starts automatically.
To install later, select Save in step 4 and choose a location on your hard disk. When ready to install, search and double-click the file. This will automatically extract and start the installation process. Follow the instructions on the screen to continue the installation.
