Sharp MX-M503N is a printer designed with multifunctional abilities for copying, printing, and scanning with high quality and great speed. The paper feeder of the monochrome digital copier has a minimum paper size of A5R and a maximum paper size of A3W. The feeder has a standard paper capacity of 1100 sheets and a maximum paper capacity of 5600 sheets. The general memory is 640MB of RAM, and the hard disk capacity is 80GB. The feeder can hold up to 209 g/m2 paper weight and the warm-up time is 20 seconds or less.

Specifications
The copier features a scan resolution of 600 x 600 dpi for black & white and color and a print resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi. The copier can be controlled through an 8.5″ touch screen color LCD control panel with thumbnail views and optional retractable keyboard for data entry. As regards speed, it has a first copy out time of 3.9 seconds and a maximum continuous copy of 999 copies. With 2 black & white gradation levels, 256 for color and 10 preset copy ratios, the copier can maintain high quality while zooming from 25% to 400%.
The scanner integrates both the push scan and the pull scan methods and has an interpolated standard optional network scanner. The push scan has I quality resolutions of 100, 200, 300, 400, and 600 dpi. The pull scan has 75, 100, 150, 200, 300, 400, and 600 dpi basically, 50 dpi to custom. It can scan to desktop, e-mail, USB memory, network folders, and FTP servers. The scanner utilities include Network scan, Sharp TWAIN, and Sharpdesk.
The printer had a standard and enhanced dot per inch (dpi) resolution of 1200 x 1200 and a shared optional network printer. The standard interface is a USB 2.0 while the optional is a 10Base-T/100Base-TX/1000Base-T Ethernet interface. The speed of the printer is 50 ppm for A4 sheets and 22 ppm for A3W size sheets. It uses wireless connection servers and is Windows and Mac compatible.

Note: Do not connect the USB cable until requested by the installer. If you connect to the network, make sure the network cable is connected before running the installer
Windows
- Close all software programs running on your computer.
- Turn on the printer.
- Click the Download button on this page.
- Click the downloaded file. The files will be extracted and the installation process will automatically begin.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to continue and complete the installation.
Mac
- Download the file. For the location where the file is saved, check the computer settings.
- Double-click the downloaded file and mount it on the Disk Image.
- Then Double-click the mounted Disk Image.
- Double-click the packaged file in the folder. Installation starts automatically.
To install later, select Save in step 4 and choose a location on your hard disk. When ready to install, search and double-click the file. This will automatically extract and start the installation process. Follow the instructions on the screen to continue the installation.
