Canon PIXMA G2500 printer model is a multifunction printer that is capable of printing, copying, and scanning documents. The machine can produce a print resolution of up to 4800 x 1200 dots per inch (dpi). There are two FINE cartridges in the inkjet print system, one each for black and color printing. The ink tanks are also refillable with a minimum ink droplet size of 2 picolitres (pl). When printing in black, the rate of work is up to 8.8 images per minute (ipm) by standard measurement.

On the flip side, when printing in color, the rate of work is about 5.0 ipm by the print standard. Similarly, borderless printing runs at 60 seconds at the average level. Besides, borderless printing also supports the use of A4, letter, and photo sizes papers. The compatible cartridge type is the GI-590 pigment black, cyan, yellow, and magenta colors. The black cartridge will produce 6000 pages while the color cartridge will print 7000 pages.
Some compatible paper types include plain paper, high-resolution paper, photo paper plus glossy II, and matte photo papers. Other examples are glossy photo paper “everyday use” photo paper plus semi-gloss, and photo paper pro luster. Notably, its maximum paper input of the machine’s main paper loading tray is about 100 sheets of plain paper. It also supports a weight range between 64 and 105 gsm for plain papers. But when using a Canon photo paper, the maximum paper weighs is up to 275 gsm.
Under the scanning features, the component in use is the CIS flatbed photo and document scanner. It also produces a scanning resolution of 600 x 1200 dots per inch (dpi). [Installation Instructions] How to Download / Installation procedure
Note: Do not connect the USB cable until requested by the installer. If you connect to the network, make sure the network cable is connected before running the installer
Windows
- Close all software programs running on your computer.
- Turn on the printer.
- Click the Download button on this page.
- Click the downloaded file. The files will be extracted and the installation process will automatically begin.

Mac
- Download the file. For the location where the file is saved, check the computer settings.
- Double-click the downloaded file and mount it on the Disk Image.
