Monochrome documents print at the rate of 15.0 images per minute when using the typical plain paper. But color printing is at the speed of 9.7 ipm, at the topmost quality level. However, when printing at the borderless mode of photo paper sizes, the print rate is 41 seconds. While copying, the Canon PIXMA MG6850 printer model can produce the first page after 18 seconds. But subsequently, copied pages run at the rate of 7.7 ipm. It also supports multiple copies of up to 100.
Some of the other identifiable copy functions include document or photocopying, 2-sided copy, frame erase copy, and borderless copy. It can zoom the image size up to 400% of the original document size, and it can zoom-out of the copied image up to 25% of the scope of the document. The printer has a display component of 7.5 cm for a liquid crystal display (LCD) with a color touchscreen.
Users can connect with the machine using the hi-speed USB 2.0 port, Wi-Fi with the IEEE802.11 b/g/n component. [Installation Instructions] How to Download / Installation procedure
Note: Do not connect the USB cable until requested by the installer. If you connect to the network, make sure the network cable is connected before running the installer
Windows
- Close all software programs running on your computer.
- Turn on the printer.
- Click the Download button on this page.
- Click the downloaded file. The files will be extracted and the installation process will automatically begin.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to continue and complete the installation.
Mac
- Download the file. For the location where the file is saved, check the computer settings.
- Double-click the downloaded file and mount it on the Disk Image.
- Then Double-click the mounted Disk Image.
- Double-click the packaged file in the folder. Installation starts automatically.
To install later, select Save in step 4 and choose a location on your hard disk. When ready to install, search and double-click the file. This will automatically extract and start the installation process. Follow the instructions on the screen to continue the installation.
