Color printing with this machine has a rate of 9.7 images per minute (ipm). On the other side, monochrome or black and white print is up to 15.0 ipm approximately in the best mode. Also, borderless printing on a 10 x 15 cm photo paper size is up to 41 seconds. Besides, automatic duplex print for A4 and letter sizes of plain paper. The compatible cartridge model types include the PGI-470PGBK for pigment black and CLI-471BK/C/M/Y for black, cyan, magenta, and yellow.
The compatible ink cartridge types also have optional XL versions, which has more print capacity. This machine supports plain paper, high-resolution paper, photo paper pro platinum, and matte. The front tray can hold up to 100 sheets of plain paper as the maximum paper holding capacity. Other paper types include glossy photo paper, photo paper plus semi-gloss, pro luster, and photo paper plus glossy II.
The compatible standard paper sizes include A4, A5, B5, photo sizes, letter, legal, DL, and COM10 envelopes paper sizes. It also supports a paperweight between 64 and 105 gsm for the ideal plain papers. But when a Canon photo is in use, the maximum paperweight is up to 300 gsm. In the scanning process, the component is the CIS flatbed document and photo scanner. This feature can produce a maximum optical resolution of up to 1200 x 2400 dpi. [Installation Instructions] How to Download / Installation procedure
Note: Do not connect the USB cable until requested by the installer. If you connect to the network, make sure the network cable is connected before running the installer
Windows
- Close all software programs running on your computer.
- Turn on the printer.
- Click the Download button on this page.
- Click the downloaded file. The files will be extracted and the installation process will automatically begin.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to continue and complete the installation.
Mac
- Download the file. For the location where the file is saved, check the computer settings.
- Double-click the downloaded file and mount it on the Disk Image.
- Then Double-click the mounted Disk Image.
- Double-click the packaged file in the folder. Installation starts automatically.
To install later, select Save in step 4 and choose a location on your hard disk. When ready to install, search and double-click the file. This will automatically extract and start the installation process. Follow the instructions on the screen to continue the installation.
